Stealing content

It is not allowed to use someone else’s videos under copyright law.
There is a grey area called: fair use which allows people to use other people’s content.
But a common practice to content being seen as Fair Use is the credit the original creator.
Also, the creator needs to add significant value to be seen as fair use, in other words: being transformative.

Reaction content can be seen as transformative, when you actually react.
In here is where the crux lies.
If you don’t react and don’t credit the original creator, you are stealing content according to me an many other creators.
This is what SSSniperwolf does.

A creator with a channel called Jacks films was fed up with this behaviour and started a new channel called JJJacksfilms.
On this channel Jack criticised creators (including SSSniperwolf) for low effort reaction content in a funny way.
Jack did a SSSniperwolf bingo with boxes like “repeating what she sees” and “not reacting”.

Doxxing

Alia apparently was fed up with this and went through the effort to find out where Jack lived.
On top of that, she went over to his house.

On top of going to his house, Alia posted a poll on Instagram to her 5M followers, if she should visit him.
Her followers said: visit him.
And that is what she did.

On top of that, she made a video of showing where he lived, effectively doxxing Jacksfilms for 5M followers.
In the end, there was no confrontation between the two creators.

There will be people harassing Jackfilms, even if she herself didn’t harass Jacksfilms.
SSSniperwolf has a very loyal dedicated fanbase, including some of them with severe mental illnesses.

The irony is, that SSSniperwolf herself had encountered multiple instances of harassment and doxxing herself.
In many people’s eyes she went from getting stalked, now being the stalker herself.

Alia doubling down, Jack the stalker?

Alia tried to change the narrative by making a video on Instagram where she claimed that Jack was stalking her by making videos on her.
And she asked her followers if she should file a restraining order.
All of a sudden, she played the “victim” instead the stalker.

“when you can’t win, make it personal”
He criticized her content, she responded by making fun of his receding hairline.
He critized her content, she accuses him of being a misogynist because (according to her he only critisized female creators), while Jack critisized male creators as well on JJJacksfilms.

Instead of addressing the criticism in a professional way by either ignoring it or make a video about it and react in a calm manner, Alia choose to doxx Jack.

Exposing minors

Because of Alia’s controversial behavior, people started to look into Alia’s older videos.
Here they found videos of Alia recording herself on Omegle chatting with randon strangers.

In the videos encouraged those underaged teenagers to show their private parts on order for her showing hers.
The videos showed exposed body parts.
The videos were publicly available on YouTube for everyone to see.

Nudity is not allowed according to YouTube’s community guidelines.

Alia removed the videos in question, but wasn’t punished for uploading them to YouTube.

After the Omegle controversy she uploaded another Omegle video in which she asks random strangers their deepest darkest secrets and exposes those secrets for her millions of followers.

First of all, I think it is very unethical to expose someones deepest secrets in front of millions.
Second, Alia is very bad at reading the room.
Omegle and exposing is a very sensitive topic right now, only fueling the fire.

YouTube’s response

YouTube responded on Twitter to all the controvery around doxxing Jacksfilms:
“Confirming SSSniperWolf has received a temporary monetization suspension per Creator Responsibility policies. Off platform actions that put others’ personal safety at risk harm our community & the behavior on both sides isn’t what we want on YT. Hoping everyone helps move this convo to a better place.”

Alia broke multiple community guidelines and law:
1) stealing content: law
2) nudity on YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802002
3) doxxing other creators https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802268

YouTube’s response was to de-monetize her new videos (not her existing videos), instead of removing her from the platform.

Alia’s response to the demonetization was to upload old videos to another YouTube channel which was monetized, avoiding the demonetization.

YouTube responded demonetizing her second channel as well.

Low effort apology

Alia on Twitter:
“Let me start by saying I’m sorry for my recent actions; it is inexcusable. I’m sorry to Jacksfilm, YouTube, the entire creator community, and my incredible fans for not being a better example for appropriate conflict resolution. Jacksfilm, while we certainly don’t see eye to eye and have our differences, I am sorry for reacting the way I did when I should’ve taken the opportunity to show young creators how adults and professionals resolve conflict by communicating directly, respectfully, and privately; not for views or content, but a meaningful example of how conflict should be solved. I will reach out directly and hope we can find some time to connect and communicate, respectfully. I’d also like to thank YouTube for holding me accountable. I deserve it, respect the decision and appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow from a true lapse in judgement “

To many this apology seems low effort, since it seems to be an A.I. generated apology.
She claimed “lapse of judgement”.
But she contemplated visiting his house, asking her followers.
She conscientiously made the decision to visit his house, posted on instagram twice.
And later even doubled down on it on her Instagram with a photo of her and her sister with the text saying: “when we visit your house”.
Lawsuit
For years there were rumors going around that SSSniperwolfs gaming content was faked.
Alia is married to Evan (aka “sausage”) and together they own the company: Channel Red, which makes millions of dollars.
Together with the divorce, Evan filed a lawsuit against Alia, in which he claims that he did everything behind the scenes: playing the games, writing the script, doing the thumbnail.
She only had to look pretty for the camera and read the script of him playing the game.
They would split the money 50/50.

Allegedly Alia stole hard drives from Evan, to which in return locked her out from her own channel.
So Alia started a second channel “SSSniperwolf top videos” to make money with her old videos that she doesn’t have to pay 50/50 split over.
It seems like Alia needed the hard drives to upload the videos on the hard drive to her new channel.

Alia’s counter claim

In Alia’s counter claim she said that Evan was volatile character.
The irony in this statement is her own behavior regarding Jackfilms and exposing minors, and then accusing Evan of being volatile.

Evan’s counter claim

Now the two stories (doxxing/exposing and lawsuits) come together.
After Alia’s counter claim, Evan responded that: because of Alia actions (doxxing, exposing minors) the company’s reputation was damaged, which is undeniable because it was demonetized and sponsors (like G-Fuel) dropped her.
Evan claims that Alia also started the new channel to monetize her content without Evan being part of the shared earnings.

pretty privilege

I think she got off lightly with youtube.
There have been creators kicked off the platform for less.

You could argue that the doxxing happened off-platform.
But even Instagram has done nothing.

She got very lucky by not getting sued by Jacksfilms.

She doesn’t see seem to get that she committed multiple crimes.
She doesn’t see that she got very lucky.
She continues to play the victim card.
She continues to deny accountability (an A.I. generated apology seems rather lazy than well-meant. An apology that completely contradicts her past and future behavior also make it seem not-meant).
Her behavior is indicative of some severe mental issues.

Alia clearly didn’t think that her actions would reflect on Channel Red, and her actions would weaken her claims in her divorce and the millions dollar Channel Red lawsuit.
Which again, points to her not having a fair grip on reality as a business owner.

This whole situation screams of “pretty privilege”, receiving favors for being pretty.
If it was me or any male YouTube creator, I would
1) have been thrown off YouTube
2) have been thrown off Instagram
3) be in jail right now for committing multiple crimes
When you are serious about YouTube and want to take it to the next level, take a look at my video training program: Viral Strategy.
The program takes you step-by-step through the process of getting views, subscribers and going viral.

For new creators I included a module that guides you step-by-step through the process of starting, creating and setting up a YouTube channel.
